I wish I would have had this recipe when we were having the HEAT WAVE, but it was still a really tasty late summer treat. I tweaked the recipe that was posted on Move it 2011, since it was a little easier to find the ingredients. Also, Janna gave me some suggestions on how to… >> View Post

Lowes Build and Grow – School Locker
Today I took the kids to Lowes again for their Build and Grow program. Nathan is REALLY into going to these right now, so I have been trying to make sure we go to as many as possible. This week the kids built a school locker, and the next two activities in the next month… >> View Post
Blessing of the Backpacks
The weekend before Nathan started back at school, church had a service where they had the kids come up and get their backpacks blessed. Autumn, of course, had to bring her backpack, too, even though she won’t be starting preschool until next year. So sweet.
Froggies
Nathan begged and begged for a pet frog for months and I finally caved. I wish I hadn’t of caved, but I did and now I am the owner (notice how I say that I am, not Nathan) of two frogs. Two frogs that croak unlike any frog I have ever heard at whee hours… >> View Post
Belated First Day of Kindergarten Post!
I woke up at 5:00am sharp on the first day of Kindergarten for Nathan, and I was puzzled when I woke up and couldn’t quite remember what was happening today that was such a BIG DEAL. Well, it only took a matter of seconds before it registered in my mind that today was NATHAN’S FIRST… >> View Post

Friday Fun at the Zoo
I went to the St. Louis Zoo with Mom and the kids today and we had a lot of fun. Nathan wanted to ride the train first, of course, and of course he noticed there were a lot of different engines. A blue engine that was too crowded that we didn’t get to ride on,… >> View Post

Today I took the kids in for their 6 month checkup at the dentist. It was Autumn’s very first visit, and her teeth were in great shape! They sent me a book in the mail that I read to her that described everything they would do at the visit. Here she is posing for a… >> View Post
My 34th Birthday
Today is my 34th birthday, and it was sort of a bittersweet day. A lot has happened in 2011, and I really cannot wait to put this year to a close and start 2012. This morning my lawyer fought for me in court over a motion that my (soon to be ex) husband put out… >> View Post
Tower Grove Park (again)
So, I decided to take the kids to Tower Grove park again, it is such a neat park and our visit was cut short from the storm that came in last time. They have kids concerts in the Piper Palm house on Wednesdays at 9:30am, so I decided to take them. It was OK, probably… >> View Post
