Ipsy Review (#6) and Meal Plans 62 and 63

Just received my #ipsy bag today and once again it is filled with some great products! I am the most excited about the Urban Decay 24/7 Glide On Lip Pencil, which applies invisibly and helps lip color last! Then, just in time for the summer they included
Well, this makes month SIX of Ipsy for me! And, I am still loving it... I think my favorite products so far have been all of the different lip colors I've received. I never used to wear lip stick or gloss (or at least, not very often) and now I have several colors that work well with any outfit. Its been SO fun!

If you haven't heard about Ipsy before, it is a mail subscription that sends you a new makeup pouch each month along with 5 products to sample. And, the kicker? It is ONLY $10 a month! It is also fun to see what others get, because not everyone gets the same products... you fill out a questionnaire and they base your products off of your answers. Sweet! If you're interested, you can sign up under me, by clicking HERE and I'll earn some points to by myself extra products. Thanks!

So are you ready to hear what I received in my Ipsy bag?

Alterna Haircare - Caviar CC Cream

I have naturally curly hair and it is a real PITA sometimes. There is really only one product that I love and trust to use in my hair for those really humid/rainy days... however, I was pleasantly surprised when I tried the Caviar CC Cream. I really can't tell the difference between this and my absolute favorite product. In fact, I would switch to this if they ever stopped making the other product. The scent is just OK, but it really tames my curly hair all day long AND it isn't sticky nor can I feel it build up in my hair.
I would rate it 5/5 stars.

Urban Decay - 24/7 Glide on Lip Pencil + Bonus Revolution High-Color Lipgloss
I was excited to receive an Urban Decay product this month in my Ipsy bag. I have heard that from time to time, you can score this high-end product. However, I was so bummed when I threw away the cardboard holder without realizing it had two lipgloss colors to try! :( I did try the lip pencil and it does seem to help my lipstick last longer. I am not sure if this is a product I would go out and buy, though...
I would rate it 3/5 stars.

BellaPierre Cosmetics - Waterproof Mineral Gel Eyeliner Pencil

When I saw this in the bag, I thought... oh great, another eyeliner. But, WOW... This is the best black eyeliner I have ever owned! I don't really like eyeliners where I have to sharpen them, but this looks so great on... I DON'T CARE. It glides on like butter and the black really pops. I may have to restock this when I run out.
I would rate it 5/5 stars.

Peter Lamas - Detoxifying Citrus C Facial Cleanser
I can't believe I gave 5 stars on so many products this month, but seriously... I got a smoking hot bag! This facial cleanser smelled great (like citrus), suds up great and also cleans wonderfully! I wouldn't mind trying some of their other products.
I would rate it 5/5 stars.

Pixi by Petra - Beauty Bronzer
I have never used a bronzer before, but I applied this with my loose powder brush all over my face and WOW it gave me a natural-looking sun kissed look! Another 5 stars to this product, I will be using it ALL summer long!
I would rate it 5/5 stars.

I know I say this each month, but the bag they sent this month is truly my favorite so far!

I am really enjoying Ipsy and I know I keep saying I want to try a different subscription service each month... but, I am really wondering if I am going to be able to talk myself out of Ipsy after I've been seeing that pink bubble wrap package in my mailbox for 12 months!! If you are interested in trying out Ipsy, please use my referral link below... I get points for free products if you sign up under me! I would appreciate it!

If you don't subscribe to Ipsy, click HERE for my referral link. For $10/month it's a fun way to try new products that are delivered right to your mailbox!

What did you get in your Ipsy Glam bag this month?

Meal Plan Week 62

Sunday - Dinner Out
We might be going to Six Flags, or doing something else fun on this first weekend of the summer. So, I didn't plan anything for dinner. :)

Monday - Baked Ravioli, recipe HERE

Autumn starts gymnastics tonight, SO I'm whipping this up for a quick and easy dinner.

Tuesday - My Parents are Treating Us!
We are going to a buffet with my parents and they are treating us and my brother and SIL. Hoorah!

Wednesday - Frozen Pizza

Frozen pizza, it is dance night!

Thursday - Tacos
Thursday is really the only night we are going to be at home chilling this week. So, I thought I'd make some tacos.

Friday - Strawberry Melon Summer Soup with a Sandwich, recipe HERE
We have recital ticket pick up AND Autumn's dance photos (and they aren't until 7:25 p.m.!) this night... so, everyone is on their own for dinner tonight.

Saturday - Dinner Out to Celebrate our 'Dating' Anniversary!
Brian and I still celebrate our dating anniversary! It is at a roof top restaurant, so I am hoping it is a nice summer evening.

Desserts: I am making a couple desserts with the strawberries we picked, such as strawberry lemonade bars AND strawberry pudding pie.

Meal Plan Week 63

Sunday - Dinner In or Mexican
We'll probably order dinner in, I'm not a fan of cooking on Sunday nights. ;) I like to relax a little before the week ahead.

Monday - BLT's and Chips

This is a busy week, I am volunteering at vacation bible school all week and Autumn has gymnastics and Nathan has karate on Mondays now. So, a simple yet tasty dinner of BLT's will just have to do!

Tuesday - Gazpacho and Homemade Bread, recipe HERE

Wednesday - Frozen Pizza
Dance AND Karate (thankfully, next week is the recital and we are done with dance for awhile! whew!), so frozen pizza it is...

Thursday - Food Truck Thursday
On my summer bucket list (see HERE), I have food truck Friday as one of our action items. I found a park that is having one and I thought it'd be fun to try it out.

Friday - BBQ Hot Dogs, Corn on the Cob, Cucumber Salad and Watermelon
Its always nice to start the weekend with a BBQ! We'll probably also get a board game out to play.

Saturday - Dinner to Go
