My husband and I are going to Italy next month sans kids, but we still wanted to go on a trip with the kids this summer. We decided to stay in our state, but to find a nice resort near Branson, MO and we will be hitting Silver Dollar City theme park, a riverboat tour (princess and pirate style!) and I plan to get a massage! Even though we are staying somewhere in our own state, we will still be in the car for four hours with the kids. Traveling in the car for extended periods of time with the kids can get a little stressful, especially since they get bored, fight with each other, etc. after just a 20 minutes in the car! Today I am going to share how to keep stress to a minimum when traveling with kids by prepping a little bag with items for the kids AND for mom!

One of the items that I will be adding to the bag are Energems Chocolate Energy gems, which are a life saver when you are traveling with kids!

Energems1
Energems Chocolate Energy comes in Dark Chocolate or Mint Dark Chocolate flavors. There are 21 gems in each bottle.

These gems include nutritional support from vitamins B and D. Vitamin B helps support physical energy and Energems have more than a full day's supply of vitamins B6 and B12. They are also fortified with folate (B9) and niacin (B3).

AND, one serving of Energems provides 400 IU of vitamin D, the "sunshine" vitamin, to meet 100% of your daily requirement and to help support a healthy mental state.

There are no artificial colors, flavors or preservatives! They're simply delicious as they are!

If you are worried about jitters, you don't need to worry about them with Energems! Unlike some energy drinks, Energems supplements won't spin you out of control with caffeine or sugar as long as you take them as directed. Energems (patent pending) formula combines caffeine and B vitamins for energy with L-Theanine to help soften some of the stimulant effects of caffeine.

Energems Chocolate Energy have just the right amount of caffeine. Three Energems contain 133 mg of caffeine, which is the same as that large cup of coffee you may reach for every morning! Energems are only 50 calories per serving, which may be a lot less than what you'd drink in your cup of coffee after all the sugar/cream you might add!
Energems5
I started with three Energems Chocolate Energy, but found I really only needed two Energems to get the right boost I needed to get through days where I needed a little energy. However, you can take one, two or three Energems to get the boost of energy you want, when you want it. You can adjust it to how you are feeling that particular day!

I was surprised that the Energems had such a great taste! They are made with real dark chocolate, plus caffeine for energy... so, they double as a sweet treat and a nice little pick-me-up! If you are a chocolate-aholic, you will love these! The mint ones are great for freshening up your breath, too!

And, since these are made of chocolate, they contain antioxidants! Antioxidants are naturally found in dark chocolate and help protect the body against free radicals. Free radicals are unstable molecules that can cause damage to cell function over time.

Now, I'll share with you how to keep stress to a minimum when traveling with kids by making a bag full of stress relieving items for the kids AND mom!

First, you'll want to swing by your local Walmart to purchase your choice of Energems Chocolate Energy, in either Dark Chocolate or Mint Dark Chocolate. I found them near the energy supplements in my store, but they could also be near the vitamins.

I wanted to find a bag to put all of the items into that would keep us entertained (and mom energized!) while in the car. I found this adorable pineapple tote over in the seasonal items at Walmart.

I walked around the store to find little items that I could give to the kids if they were 'good' in the car each hour. It takes 4 hours to drive to Branson from St. Louis, so that was 4 items per kid. I tried to stick to items that were around $1-5 each and that would preoccupy them in the car or that they could use in the pool during our vacation.

Once I got home, I took all of the items out of the bag and put them in my pineapple tote!

After I had all of the kids items in the tote, I started to get the items together that I needed for the car trip. This included the Energems Chocolate Energy in Dark Chocolate for a boost in the car (especially since we plan to leave early!), a water bottle, banana, sunglasses,  iPhone, headphones and Kindle.

This is what the tote looked like once I packed it full of the kids items and mine! I also included a few snacks for the kids, too!

These Energems Chocolate Energy are going to be a life saver to keep me energized this entire car trip with the kids. It always helps to be on top of your game. I love that they are in a small bottle and can be thrown in my tote, purse, gym bag, etc. Best of all, they are chocolate!
