2016 Winter Fab Fit Fun Box

UntitledI just received my second Fab Fit Fun box and I am thoroughly pleased! This is the only subscription box I have going right now and it is plenty! I receive a box every season and it is packed full of a variety of items, such as jewelry, makeup, stationary, home decor, apparel, etc. The box is $49.99 each quarter, but you can save 20% on it today using my code HERE.

Goodies Inside 2016 Winter Fab Fit Fun Box
Untitled Untitled
D.L. & Co. Candle - $45.00
This candle was one of my favorite items in the box! I was sent the Blackberry Nectar in Gold, but there was also a silver candle. I was so happy I received the gold one, it'll match the decor in my home! The scent is amazing and I can use the gold container for decor after the candle burns down.

Gorjana Necklace - $75.00
received the taner toggle lariat in gold (another win since I don't wear a lot of silver jewelry). This necklace will layer wonderfully with my monogrammed necklaces that I have and it also stays put and doesn't swing around or move easily.

Anderson Lilley Beach Butter Body Cream - $24.00
I received this body cream in the Winter in Manhattan Beach scent. It smells great and has been keeping my hands moisturized this winter!

O.R.G. Skincare Mineral Peel Face - $44.00
This product is really intriguing... You spray it on and then you massage your skin with your fingertips and you will really see some of your dull skin come off! It made my skin feel so soft and it really did glow afterwards. I will definitely be using this product a couple of times a  week!

Starlight Pin
Starlight's mission is to brighten the lives of seriously ill children. They devote 85 cents to every dollar to programs that brighten the lives of these children.

Butter London Iconoclast Mega Volume Lacquer Mascara - $20.00
I was really excited to receive this mascara from Butter cosmetics! It has a little ball on the tip, which works great at getting mascara on the lashes in the inner corner of my eyes! I also really like the fullness and volume it gives my lashes. It is definitely my favorite mascara right now!

Moleskine 2017 Weekly Planner - $20.95
I already have an Erin Condren planner, so I am trying to figure out what to use this planner for or who to give it to. It is really nice and even has stickers in the back to mark special events.

Marie Mae Company Thank You Card Set - $24.00
These are the cutest thank you cards and I can't wait to use them to thank some people for Christmas gifts I received.

Total Retail Value of Box: $252.95

I was really, really pleased with ALL of the items in this box! I will definitely continue this subscription for now! To find out more about FabFitFun, click HERE.

Not only does GemGrace sell dresses, but you can also find the perfect accessories to complete each look, including clutches, head pieces, veils and shoes.

Plus, you don't pay any extra for it, which will save you a lot of money (and time!). They will even send you a fabric/color sample.

Picnic Basket Box Gift Idea and Caprese Salad {GlobeIn}

Happy Friday! I hope everyone has everything almost done for the holidays! We baked cookies yesterday, the gifts are wrapped and today I'll be going to the grocery store and prepping food for my family that is coming over on Christmas Eve.

Today I want to share a really neat subscription box company with you called GlobeIn. Their boxes would make a great gift idea for a hostess gift, January birthday (because it can be SO hard to gift someone after the holidays!), to cheer up a friend or just for yourself!

Every piece in the GlobeIn box empowers women artisans around the world through job creation and fair wages.

You can now save $10 off with a purchase of 3- and 6- month Artisan Box subscriptions with the code CURLYCRAFTY.

There are SO many boxes to pick from. The box that I selected was the Picnic Basket Box

They had several other great boxes, though:
OCTOBER_COZY-79_1024x1024 memory_square_1024x1024
The Cozy Box (Left) and The Memory Box (Right)

jewelry-thumbnail_1024x1024 Hostess-Box01_1024x1024
The Jewelry Box (Left) and The Entertain Box (Right)

You can click on each box to see what the handmade contents are and many of the boxes have great reviews and photos that tell you more about the quality and fine details of the box.

Here is what I received with the GlobeIn Picnic Box. On the website it said that colors would vary, so I received a different plaid print for my picnic basket blanket than you'll see on the site.

Untitled Untitled
With this box I received:

Peace Picnic Blanket
Wood Travel Cutting Board
Painted Travel Cup
Bottle Basket

All of these were great items and I will put them to use! I know it is the winter now, but we have a lot of picnics on the floor at home when we can't picnic outside!

The wood travel cutting board is what sold me on this box! I decided to dress it up with a simple caprese salad. I placed fresh tomato, sliced mozzarella, basil and some garden seasoning on top. Delicious and perfect for a picnic!

The painted travel cup is pretty and will work great for travel and at home!

You'll see that the picnic blanket is waterproof on the backside, which is perfect if the grass is a little dewey!

You can also join the GlobeIn Club, the subscription is $10/month. With this club you'll enjoy highly curated fair trade products at only $10/month. You'll support thousands of artisans from over 40 countries! You can customize your empowerment pack every month with optional add-ons. You'll save up to 50% off retail prices with Club add-ons. AND, you can cancel at any time.

So, what did my Picnic Basket Box actually do?
  • It employed 60 handicapped artisans in Cambodia.
  • It employed 50% more workers.
You can read more about the impact of the other GlobeIn boxes HERE. You'll be blown away by what you'll see.

Have a happy holidays and be sure to check out GlobeIn for the New Year with $10 off a purchase of 3- and 6- month Artisan Box subscriptions with the code CURLYCRAFTY.

Magic Reindeer Food Printable {7-Day Free Trial with GraphicStock!}

Is everyone ready for Christmas? The kids have their last day of school today (and it is a half day!) and then they are off for TWO whole weeks! Every year I have them make Magic Reindeer Food and this year I wanted to make a special printable for it. Since I had a million items on my to-do list this week, I didn't have a lot of time to devote to it. GraphicStock came to the rescue by providing me access to thousands of holiday clip art images and backgrounds to choose from. All I had to do was type in 'reindeer background' and scroll down a bit and I had the perfect image!

You can now sign up for a 7-Day Free Trial with GraphicStock! You'll be able to access all of the images on GraphicStock to create your own holiday printables and digital projects!

How to Make a Printable with GraphicStock

GraphicStock is THE online destination for stock images! They have over 250,000 graphics, icons and vectors and more being added daily. The creation opportunities are truly endless! You'll see in the image above that I had 354 results after I typed in 'Reindeer Background'!

Untitled Untitled
I selected a reindeer background image and then decided to download the EPS version of it. I also had the choice of a PSD (Photoshop Document) and JPG (for the web).

Untitled Untitled
I downloaded the EPS version, because it gives you vector art which can be broken up into pieces. I wanted to delete the 'Merry Christmas' on the image and did so in Adobe Illustrator. If you don't have Illustrator, you may want to try PICMonkey free software. Then, I opened the EPS in Adobe Photoshop and added a white box to the right of the reindeer.

Untitled Untitled
I wanted a little bit of the background to show through the white box, so I set the Opacity of it to 80%. Then, I added the text above and inside the box.

This might have been a lot to understand if you aren't familiar with Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator, so I am also offering a free download of the printable HERE.

I set up this printable on a little plate stand with the reindeer food and two clear cellophane bags with bows on them. I'll let my kids take the little scoopers and scoop some food into them for the reindeer. You might also want to give the kids some baby carrots to toss outside. :)

The bowls contain oatmeal, red/green sprinkles and sugar with little scoopers.

I usually do this on the night before Christmas every year. The kids love this tradition and I am sure the reindeer do, too!

You can now sign up for a 7-Day Free Trial with GraphicStock! You can download gift tags, create New Year graphics or even work on a graphic for your blog! You'll be able to access all of the images on GraphicStock to create your own holiday printables and digital projects!

If you don't want to use your membership past the free trial, you can cancel your subscription so you won’t have to pay for the membership.SaveSave

Currently {December}

Today I'm sharing my December Currently post! This is my way of updating all of you on what I've been up to besides the usual DIY/outfit posts!

Family Room Update
Ok, ignore the mess in the room... but, we just did a family room update! We had a large projection TV that was old and we replaced it with a flat screen that my hubby mounted on the wall. We also purchased the IKEA Liatorp storage cabinets and I couldn't be more happier! I really just can't wait to decorate this entire space and the shelves. Thankfully there is a lot of inspiration on Pinterest, since this is a popular piece that they sell! My husband even put in surround sound, it is going to be so nice to watch a movie in this room now!

Hometalk Email
Last week, Hometalk shared my blog in one of their emails. Usually they link the project back to their site, but they linked it directly to my blog. As a result, I received a ton of clicks directly to my blog! Yay! Thanks, Hometalk! The project they shared was an older project of mine, my Monogramed Fabric Flower Pots.

Christmas Gift Swap
Lauren from Mom Home Guide and I did a little Christmas Gift Swap this month! It was so much fun! She made me an adorable gold pillow out of a Target place mat! She also sent me a monogrammed mug, Essie nail color, cookie cutters (I collect them) and peppermint bark! Yum! Thanks again, Lauren! I am so blessed by all of the friendships I've made through blogging!

StriVectinHAIR All Smooth
I received another package of goodies c/o StriVectin! This time it was for my hair and it couldn't have come at a more perfect time when I've been trying to style my hair straighter since I don't have to fight the heat and humidity from the summer! In the box I received a bottle of Shampoo and Conditioner, Overnight Anti-Frizz Serum and a Frizz Control Mist. I decided to try these products out for a week and in the photo below you'll see the results.

Yes, these products are a total game changer!! I can style my hair and there is absolutely no frizz and it stays straight all day long and even the next morning (thanks to the Overnight Anti-Frizz Serum)! I couldn't be happier and my hair is going to look perfect for the holidays! (And, my husband even noticed! So, yes... I'm definitely happy with these products!)

Emjoi Micro-Pedi
Recently I was sent the Emjoi Micro-Pedi to review and it has pleasantly been part of my spa-night and has easily kept my feet smooth and beautiful! I know it is the winter, but I still like to take care of my feet and to have them look their best, especially since I'm a runner!

Emjoi1 Emjoi3
The Micro-Pedi is a terrace holiday gift for women AND men and so easy to use! It's small size makes it easy to take along for when you travel, too!

This month I finished It Ends with Us by Colleen Hoover.

I really enjoyed this book and I couldn't have been more pleased with the ending. This book is about Lily who grows up with a dad that abuses her mom and vows to never marry a man that abuses her. She grew up watching the show Ellen and writing in a diary to Ellen, including how she meets a boy that lives in an abandoned house next door who is homeless. She falls in love with this boy and vows to find him later in Baltimore, where he moves to be with a relative that can care for him. Later on she finds herself in Baltimore and meets the most perfect man... Be sure to read this one to find out what happens.

Lindi Holiday Offer
Lindi Skin is making a donation to the American Cancer Society’s “Look Good, Feel Better” program which helps men, women and children deal with the skin issues related to cancer treatment. Each handsomely wrapped Gift Set is delivered with a note letting the recipient know that in addition to their skincare gift, a donation has been made on their behalf. (You can see my Lindi Skin review here.)

This also makes a great holiday present for anyone with sensitive skin. You can received 15% off your purchase with the coupon code GIFTSETB. Their eye hydrator is my absolute favorite product from them, it is so soft and gentle on the eyes and does great at moisturizing.

Lauren from Mom Home Guide is also sharing her Currently post today!
