My husband and I love to grill! I usually leave the grilling to him and then I whip up some tasty sides! We also love our outdoor patio space that we just updated, it's such a nice space to enjoy family time and good food. We definitely want STRONG, sturdy plates (such as Dixie Ultra® at Target, so we don't have any stains or spills or our nice new seat cushions and pillows! Today I'm sharing one of our favorite burgers to grill, a Cheddar Dijon Burger with Caramelized Onions Served Open Face! It is perfect with a side of corn and a cool summer salad.

Summer Bucket List {2017}

17729528126_a49276c1d9_o

Hey everyone! I am joining Leslie at Once Upon a Time and Happily Ever After and 20 or so other bloggers to share out Summer Bucket Lists today! Thank you so much for getting this together, Leslie!

I always do a Summer Bucket List for the kids, one for me and one for me and Brian. It is just more fun that way and it encourages us to do a lot of family activities and it also encourages Brian and I to have lots of date nights and other fun activities together! Oh, and it encourages me to get a couple things done during the summer!

The last time I did a Summer Bucket List was in 2015! I used to love doing these, but as the kids have gotten older it has been a little harder to find open pockets of time. So, Leslie keeps asking me to do one and I finally gave in to her requests (happily!) and thought the summer would be a perfect time to try out a bucket list again!

*underlined text means that activity is completed*

Summer Bucket List for Me

1. Go running at Fenton Park

2. Sign up for Half Marathon Training with Fleet Feet

3. Paint Vanity in Master Bathroom

4. Start thinking of how I want to redo the area where my rose bushes used to be in the garden.

5. Plan my 40th Birthday Party

Summer Bucket List for the Kids
1. Nathan: Karate and Band Camp. Autumn: Summer Gymnastics and Full Day Dance Camp (3 Days)

2. Family Vacation to Disney (can't wait to check out the new World of Avatar and I'll finally meet Lauren Kim from Mom Home Guide!)

3. Library Reading Program, we are almost done! Even mom signed up to read this year!

4. Take the kids to see Cahokia Mounds and have a picnic lunch

5. Cardinals baseball game, Nathan won tickets through the Library Reading Program

Summer Bucket List for Me and Brian

1. All Inclusive Resort in Mexico (can't wait!)

2. Moonlight Paddle boats Picnic at The Boat House

3. Do a sunset dinner at Montelle winery

4. Riverboat Cruise on the Mississippi with Brian. We haven't done this in several years, I thought it would be fun.

5.
I'd love to do brunch sometime, like at Squires. They even have a Mimosa and Bloody Mary Bar

6. Go to IKEA for lunch and also purchase and put together a new coffee table for the family room.

Carrie at Curly Crafty Mom
We love our cat very much and she's a huge part of our family. I always feel that during the summer, it is a little more challenging to give her as much love as the days are longer and we are outside more (she's an indoor cat). Today I'm sharing 5 Ways to Show your Cat Love this Summer (and to Avoid Kitty Boredom!) and I'm also sharing how to save $10 off $40 on Purina

Starbucks5_8x10
If you know me... you know that the Starbucks® Bottled Frappuccino is my FAVORITE drink right now! I usually get the Vanilla flavor, but I was excited to try the new Starbucks® Bottled Dulce de Leche Frappuccino® Coffee Drink Single Serve item only (not available in 4-pack) at Walmart recently.

The reason I love Starbucks® Bottled Frappuccino, is because it is a mini break in the day for me. Today I'm going to share How to Sneak in Perfect Summer Moments for Yourself. The summer can be SO busy with the family, planning and getting ready for summer vacations, etc. and it's important to find moments to enjoy a little break for yourself!

Summer Console Table & Bubble Burlap Topiaries

Done6_8x10
Well, Friday is here and I'll take it! It's been a really busy week here in our household. Autumn had two nights of dance recitals that went pretty late and I had a rush blog project on top of that. Now I am ready to relax a bit! We have a sunset dinner at the winery and also a graduation dinner for my brother planned for this weekend. Should be fun!

Today I am sharing some bubble burlap topiaries that I made! These were quick and easy and look lovely on my console table that I just decorated for the summer! BurlapFabric.com was kind enough to send me all of the burlap I needed for these topiaries and a few other items that I'll share in this post.

In two weeks I will be in sunny Mexico soaking up the vitamin D with my sweet husband! I can't wait! I've been trying to plan some tropical outfits to take along and when I spotted this blue tie dye ombre hi-low wrap skirt from PinkBlush, I knew I had to have it for our trip!

At first, the tie dye trend was one of those trends I wanted to hate. But, it seems it is more tastefully done now and more subtle. I love the subtle blues in this ombre colored skirt. It pairs nicely with white or neon tops. It will also make a nice swim suit cover up on our trip if I want to cover up on the bottom yet still expose my bikini top! Today I dressed it up a little with a white lace top and added some bright pinks as accents.

Happy Hour at Home {Summer Date Night Idea}

WineDateNigh10
We are finally in the delightful days of summer and I am trying to plan some special date nights to do with my husband. On Friday evenings, we usually like to stay at home and I thought it'd be fun to have a Happy Hour at home with my main squeeze! My husband and I both love to make appetizers and mini desserts to enjoy outside with the perfect bottle of wine. It is fun, relaxing and a perfect way to enjoy some fresh air. On this particular evening we popped open a bottle of the NEW

I wanted to wear something that would be functional yet chic for being outside and decide this outfit would be perfect.

Usually when I'm outside, I like to wear white or pastel colors to stay cool. I also like to wear a layer that I can shed or put on when I know the temps can fluctuate when you're outside. This wrap top in pink sand from Agnes & Dora was the perfect layer. I'm also wearing a frill sleeve top with black polka dots from Agnes & Dora (you'll have to scroll down to see the adorable ruffled sleeves!).

How to Keep Your Skin Looking Its Best This Summer

This shop has been compensated by Collective Bias, Inc. and its advertiser. All opinions are mine alone. #EndYourDrySkin #WetSkinIsBestSkin #CollectiveBias

Curel6_650

Dry skin is something you definitely don't want during the summer, because so much of your skin is on display. I've found that if I don't make time for my skin, I land up spending more time and energy getting it back to where it should be. I religiously spend 10 minutes every morning and evening taking care of my skin and my skin thanks me! I love that you can use Curél® Hydra Therapy Wet Skin Moisturizer right after your shower. This is important, because you're moisturizing your skin before the water evaporates off of it, which can result in dryness. This takes hardly anytime and then I can focus more time on my skin routine for my face!

I have found that my skin is really dry after I shave my legs in the summer and in the winter my elbows, hands and face get the driest. I know that focusing on my trouble spots and applying lotion to them religiously every morning and evening is how I avoid dry skin.

I will be sharing what great results Curél Hydra Therapy gives my skin, it really keeps it moisturized and looking its best for the summer!

How to Save Time and Energy Refilling Your Kids Medications

This post is part of a social shopper marketing insight campaign with Pollinate Media Group® and Phil, but all my opinions are my own. #pmedia #PhilRx http://my-disclosur.es/OBsstV

Whenever I have to refill my kids prescriptions, it is the biggest headache. I can't even tell you how many times it's been messed up, dropped or has taken twice as long. As a result, I have spent hours on the phone to get a simple task done.

That is why when I heard about Phil, it was like a light at the end of a very long dark tunnel. Phil is a prescription refill service that delivers your ongoing prescription medications right to your door on time. They also answer any questions over the phone, and most importantly, deal with the heavy-lifting of interacting with doctors and insurance so you don't have to sweat it.

For first-time customers, Phil will pay up to $20 off your insurance copay, or $20 off the cost of the medication if you are uninsured, while supplies last.

I have comfort in knowing who I am working with for our prescriptions, because Phil partners with top-rated, locally-owned pharmacies that are licensed by the Pharmacy Board.

When my kids were young, we found out that they both have allergies and asthma. It's a lot to deal with, especially since we had some emergency visits and my daughter even had to stay in the hospital once for her asthma. Thankfully we found an endocrinologist for them and they were put on daily medicine to control their asthma. Our emergency visits are far and few and I can breathe a little easier when they are sick or during allergy season, because of these medications. They are 8 and 11 now and I don't think they'll ever grow out of their asthma, but at least we know we can manage it now.

Phil’s #1 priority is to take the management burden off the customer, which is why I am switching my family to their service. My kids allergy and asthma medications are important and it is something I don't want to have trouble ordering or receiving on time. Their daily inhalers are quite expensive, so I always need to make sure that the insurance is put in correctly and they aren't ordered when we don't need them. Sometimes the doctor puts in a prescription to keep on 'hold', yet the order is put in and we can't return it! These inhalers may be $400 for a 3 months supply at the beginning of the year, so you can see why I'd be upset to receive an order in the mail that should have been on hold! Phil solves the frustration of juggling pharmacies/doctors/insurance, which saves me A LOT of time and worry!

Thankfully with Phil, the Smarter Prescription Refill service, I don't have to worry as much. Phil contacts your old pharmacy and your insurance and doctor does all the paperwork for you. It is easy to sign up for Phil online and you can check your order within minutes. Phil works with most insurance plans. Delivery is free and your refills will be delivered to your door ON TIME!

If you are not 100% satisfied, Phil will gladly transfer you back to your old pharmacy.

Additional Advantages with Phil:

  • If you physically drive to the pharmacy, you can say goodbye to those monthly trips to the Pharmacy and hello to more time in your day to day!
  • Phil guarantees your copay will be the same as what you pay at your current pharmacy. (Some rare exceptions may apply; in those cases Phil will contact you for approval. Most insurance plans are accepted. If you don’t have insurance, Phil partner pharmacies will quote you the lowest price they can obtain for you. Delivery is always free.)
  • Healthcare is personal and should be rooted in community, which is why Phil partners with independently-owned community pharmacies that are highly-rated for their exceptional customer service. I think it is important to shop local when you can!
  • Phil is a new service that is quickly expanding to service all 50 states.
Do you struggle with your prescriptions? Phil streamlines the process, is reliable and saves you valuable time!SaveSave

WrapDistressed1

Hi everyone! Well, I hate to say this... but, my white pants collection has grown again! I have been wanting a pair of white distressed denim for awhile and this pair from Angie & Smith fits like a dream! This light gray wrap tank I've paired with them is breathable and chic for the summer. I'm also sporting some nude caged heels, which is another item I've been wanting to add to my closet this Spring! I normally don't wear 3" heels, but WOW these are so comfortable AND after checking in a mirror... my hubby is still a head taller than me!
