5 Ways to Style a Blazer

February 1, 2023 Leave a Comment

Blazers seem to be all the craze lately and although I don’t really need to stock blazers in my closet, I do have a few that I love to wear! There are SO many ways to style a blazer, so I thought it’d be fun to share with you FIVE different ways to style a blazer! And… did you know that I did this post back in 2013 (see the old post HERE)?? It seems blazers have made a HUGE comeback… I tweaked this post to modernize it, but if you check out the old post, you may spy a few big necklaces or monograms here or there. Ha! It is fun when fashion comes back around again and it sure has for blazers!

1. Belt
Have you ever though about wearing a belt with your blazer? You can wear it over the blazer (really cute with a dress), under it… the belt can be thin or have an embellishment on the front of it. The possibilities with different belts and how you wear them with your blazer are endless and so fun!

Here are some examples (Click on photo for source link):

2. Scarf
A scarf is a fun way to add a pop of color, texture or pattern to an otherwise simple blazer. I feel like simpler/lighter scarves, such as silk scarves are trending right now.

Here are some examples (Click on photo for source link):

3. Denim Shirt
The denim shirt is such a great layering piece. You can wear it alone under a blazer, with the sleeves rolled up over the blazer or with the collar of the denim shirt poking out over a sweater AND the blazer.

4. Leopard Print

Leopard print is a fun way to add a little fun to an otherwise classy blazer. Wear a leopard blouse under a blazer, leopard print flats or heels… another possibility is a leopard print blazer, oh my!! Or, go basic like in the last photo, where she is holding just a leopard print clutch paired with leopard heels.

5. With Leather
Leather is so trendy right now… and you can wear leather on top, bottom or as both (think pantsuit— see below!).

What is your favorite way to wear your blazer? Have you tried any of these possibilities? Have a great day!
