Summer Bucket List {2023}

June 14, 2023 Leave a Comment

Well, it is SUMMER! I really don’t know where the spring went? I’m excited to share this summer’s bucket list with you!

I always do a Summer Bucket List for the teens, one for just me and one for my husband and I. It is just more fun that way and it encourages us to do a lot of family activities and it also encourages Brian and I to have lots of date nights, etc. It also encourages me to get a couple things done during the summer. I don’t always cross everything off the list, but that’s ok!

Summer Bucket List for Me

1. Celebrate my birthday with Brian. 🙂 I’d love to get a filet and scallops at Hamilton’s. The same people that hosted our wedding opened this restaurant/wine bar and I’d love to check them out.

2. Celebrate my birthday with the fam… I was thinking of maybe trying an Escape Room with the family for the first time. The Mastermind Room Escape seems to be one of the more popular places to visit in St. Louis.

3. I’d love to explore/run this nearby park that I’ve never been to: Run Fenton Park’s 1.4 mile loop and keep going down the river road towards Unger Park and back.

4. Possibly, try these coffee/restaurants AND plant shops: Maypop Coffee & Garden Shop and Bowood by Niche.

Summer Bucket List for the Teens

1. Trip to Gatlinburg, TN for Autumn’s dance competition. She also has a shorter trip to Peoria, IL and we volunteered to drive (it’s 2.5 hours or so from St. Louis), so Brian and I plan to scope out some fun food and THIS coffee house before we head back to St. Louis after doing the drop off.

2. Cardinal’s Game and check out Armory STL for the first time.

3. Nathan: Cross County summer practices. Autumn: Lancerettes Camp, Practices & UDA Camp in Peoria, IL.

4. Last summer we updated Nathan’s room, this summer it is Autumn’s turn! Probably going to get her room painted and some new furniture.

Summer Bucket List for Brian and I

1. This isn’t romantic by any means, but I want to start researching some companies for new carpet. I’d like to get it put in our living room, stairs leading downstairs and our master bedroom.
2. I would love to go to Narwhal’s Crafted again, but during the summer. We went during the fall last year and it was just TOO cold to be drinking frozen drinks. You can get their sister store to deliver Loaded Nachos to your table, so that you have some food with your drinks.

3. Ok, now that I checked off drinks, let’s talk FOOOD. I’d love to try a few new foodie places this summer. Not sure if we will get to these all, but I’m listing them here, so I don’t forget. I would like to check out Wild Crush where they have wine on tap, Tradicional 314 (traditional Mexican cuisine place I’ve been wanting to try) AND there is this carry out pizza place owned by Russell’s that I’ve been wanting to try called Lola Jean’s (their pizzas are so cute!).

Hope you enjoyed my Summer Bucket List. Wow, it has a lot of food on it. Guess that says a lot! Ha! Have a nice weekend!
