Between thunderstorms, pouring rain, a late race start, warm temperatures, crowded conditions, and a less than ideal warmup, it felt like everything was working against me from the start. But sometimes races aren't about perfect conditions or personal records. They're about adapting, learning and finding a way to keep going when things don't go according to plan. The best part? I left with a few lessons, a 1st place F40-49 age group award🥇(!!) and a reminder that every race has something to teach us.
