Happy Friday Everyone!
Happy, Happy June everyone! I usually post my Friday Five on the last Friday of the month, but I’m posting it early this month. I will be taking the next TWO weeks off from blogging so I can wrap up some reels/videos I’m doing for some collabs before we leave for NYC. Why I signed up for all of this stuff before our trip, I don’t know… but, it’ll all get done! And it is FUN stuff! Don’t worry, I’ll be back the second week of July.
One – Summer Fun with my Favorite People
Brian and I have had a couple of ‘dates’ lately, which has been lovely. It had been awhile! My favorite was a tea time at La Pâtisserie Chouquette, which is a French bakery in St. Louis City. It had a New Orleans theme and the owner herself served us. I would love to go to another one of their themed tea times in the future, it was REALLY good!
We had two different pots of tea (already pre-selected) and they were really good! My favorite sandwich was the Petite Poboy Croissant!!! It was really, really good! Some of the other items were a Creole Crabmeat Quiche, Beignet with Cafe au Lait Creme, a Southern Pecan Scone with Praline Butter and more!
There is this tapas and wine bar that I’ve been wanting to try for over a year and we finally got there and we really want to go back. The name of the place is One 19 North Tapas Wine Bar and it is in Kirkwood, MO. We each tried two different wines, two different tapas plates (Stuffed Portabellini Mushrooms and Carnitas Fries) and then we each got our own entree. I had the Cast Iron Seared Scallops, which had a great sauce with it.
Autumn received free Cardinals tickets for good grades, so we went this month. I got myself a margarita instead of a beer for a change! It was GOOD! I got to keep the cute mason jar! Why is ballpark food SO delicious? I am excited to be sharing a reel soon on my Instagram for a Cardinals and Midwest Dairy collab!! Stay tuned!!
One of my favorite local coffee houses in St. Louis is Teleo in Kirkwood, MO. Autumn and I had a little coffee date there and we got their marshmallow cereal bars (SOOO yummy and addicting!) and Autumn picked up some stickers. She’s collecting them right now.
Two – NIRA Pro+ Laser
I was gifted a NIRA Pro+ Precision Laser (save 10% with code CARRIE10), the most powerful at home laser for treatment of wrinkles around the eyes and mouth. I’m sharing my initial photos and then I’ll be sharing my results at 30, 60 and 90 days. This laser is easy to use, I use it nightly and it only takes me 2 minutes. I am 47 and I’ve started to get fine lines under my eyes, on my forehead and the eleven wrinkles. I have never used Botox nor have I had any medical treatments done, so this is my natural aging skin. I love how the NIRA Precision Laser is clinically proven, painless and builds natural collagen. NIRA also gifted me their serum and face cream to use with the laser. I’m excited to see what results I receive, especially since I can do this all in the privacy of my own home. NIRA offers a 90 day money back guarantee.
Three – Hide Reel View Counts on Instagram
Did you know that you can hide reel view counts on Instagram now?!! I’ve noticed some other IG’ers have turned theirs off, so I wanted to look into it myself. Man, Instagram sure has this featured buried deep so it is hard to find it. You have to turn the views off for ALL of your posts, it won’t let you do it for just one post like you can with the Like views. You can still view the Reel views, but it will be hidden for the visitors on your page. I think this is pretty awesome. You have to go to your Instagram Settings and Activity (the three lines on the top right corner of your profile page), go to Business Tools and Controls, then go to View Counts on Profile, then click the bullet that says Hide Views on Profile.

The Let Them Theory by Mel Robbins
I know there is a lot of mixed reviews on this book, you either hate it or love it… usually no in-between. I thought I’d read it and form my own opinion. I don’t agree with everything in this book, but there were some concepts in it that were new to me and I really love them!!!
So, in my last post I shared how I had finally watched all 8 Harry Potter movies… well, I bought the Max membership, I thought… why stop there? So, I watched all 3 Lord of the Rings movies and then all 3 Hobbit movies. They’re all fantasy stuff, who AM I?! I am NOT a fantasy girl! Brian was sweet enough to sit through them all with me and answer all my questions. Now that I’m done with all of THAT… WHEW. Ashley dared me to watch them all, so it is kind of her fault. Ha, ha. Now I can watch something more fun… such as the And Just Like That. Which is not as good as I had hoped it to be (I LOVE the fashion, tho!), but I still think Sex and the City was the best of the two!
Five – Latest Finds
Here is my June Monthly Treatbox, it came with a seedling for an indoor plant, socks, a pin, plantain chip snack, a card and a face mask. I’m really excited for July’s box, it is LEMON themed… which is the summer decor in my house!
Shop These Lip Massk:
Pixi sent over some REALLY cute Lip Mask Tinted Jellies! The container has a mirror and applicator, so it is perfect for on-the-go. They offer hydration and help to fill in fine lines on your lips.
I’m excited to share that I’ve been accepted into the Wayfair Creator Program!! We are getting new carpet in some rooms in our house this summer and we are placing this new fireplace mantel from Wayfair in our living room. I can’t wait to have a fireplace!
I hope everyone is having a summer!
