Hello Summer! I’ve been doing these Summer Bucket Lists for a while, but they have changed a lot over the years… especially this year, because BOTH of my teens are driving now. They are navigating their schedules mostly these days and I’m just the spare tire sometimes! Ha, ha! I still enjoy putting a Summer Bucket List together and it is fun to look back on my previous posts to see how it has all changed through the years. (See my Pinterest Board for all our Bucket Lists HERE!)
As in years past, I have always done a Summer Bucket List for me, the teens and one for my husband and I. It is just more fun that way and it encourages us to do a lot of family activities and it also encourages Brian and I to have lots of date nights, etc. It also encourages me to get a couple things done during the summer. I don’t always cross everything off the list, but that’s ok!
1. I’ve had this on my list for awhile, but contacting a carpet place. We have both carpet and hardwood, but I really want to work on getting new carpet in the carpeted areas of the house. After that is done, I have some ideas for a whole new Living Room refresh and Autumn has some ideas for updating her room. We just need the carpet to be installed first! I know it won’t be fun to get the carpet installed, but it will be fun to decorate and revamp the rooms afterwards!
2. Solo Pool Day – I thought about this last year and it just sounds so nice and relaxing. I never found a day that worked last year, but maybe I can find one this summer?!
3. Find a new everyday bag. I’m kind of leaning towards Longchamp. Do any of you have one of their bags and love it? I’m considering THIS bag.
4. Get back into indoor rowing. I’m going to try to stick to 2 days a week.
5. Learn more about hummingbirds. My mom gifted me a hummingbird feeder at the beginning of summer and I can’t believe how many different hummingbirds stop by it each day. I’d love to learn a little more about them!
Summer Bucket List with the Teens
1. Family Trip to NYC – This will be my second trip there and the teens first!!
2. Check out Painted Tree Boutiques – These stores are nationwide, but it is a bunch of ’boutique’ type booths all under one roof. I’d love to check this out with Autumn. Nathan and I are going to do a summer 5K in Kimmswick, MO. I am not planning on a PR, I never run well in the heat!! But, I’m excited because it includes a boxed lunch afterwards from a really delicious restaurant called The Blue Owl and a really cool medal.
3. There is a newish candy/ice cream/coffee place in Webster Groves called Sylvie Dees Ice Cream that I’d love to check out.
