Hey everyone! I enjoy planning out some goals in a few categories each year and I plan to share them with you today.
I’ve broken my goals into several categories: Personal, Content Creation/Future Working Goals and Organizing/Decorating. I’m listing 3 items per category to keep it short and sweet this year.
-
I always try to set one faith-focused goal each year, and this year that looked like signing up for the CBS Bible Study (September 2025–May 2026). I was honestly a little hesitant and didn’t even commit until the week before it started—but I am so glad I did. I absolutely love my core group. We just had the sweetest luncheon at one of the ladies’ homes, and I adore her (her license plate literally says SERVANT, which kind of tells you everything about her heart). It’s definitely a commitment—every Wednesday morning, plus a little homework each day—but it has been so good for me. We’re studying the book of Psalms, and I’ve already learned so much… even more than I expected to.
One smaller faith goal I have for 2026 is to pray more intentionally. I always pray before bed, but if I’m being honest, I usually fall asleep mid-prayer. One of the sweet women in my Bible class told me that just means God is calming me and letting me release whatever I’m carrying—and I loved that perspective. Still, I want to be a little more intentional, so I’m trying to move my prayer time earlier in the day. I even bought a prayer journal (I purchased THIS one) and plan to start small—about five minutes, three times a day—and work my way up from there. -
Running is still something I feel deeply passionate about. Last year, I added more running-specific strength work for my core, arms, and legs, moved up two levels in Down Dog Yoga, and even started adding creatine to my morning protein shake. All of it felt like small but really meaningful steps forward.
This year, I wanted to focus more on the nutrition side of running, so I finally decided to sign up for Cortney Berling’s RunWell Collective portal—and I’m already so excited about it. It includes weekly live calls (with replays), nutrition guidance for before, during, and after runs, plus rest days and race day. There is so much information, and I love that it’s set up in a way that feels supportive instead of overwhelming. There’s also a community chat where you can connect with other women in the program, which feels really special. I literally just signed up tonight and can’t wait to dive in.
Another running goal of mine has been to run with actual humans again—and it has been so life-giving. I reconnected on Strava with my friend Michelle (we knew each other back when our kids were in school together), and we’re both half-marathoners. She kept inviting me to join a Christian-based mom’s running group she’s part of, and when I finally went… I absolutely loved it. We run, then grab coffee or breakfast afterward, and it’s been such a joy to see these women each week and share both a love for running and for Christ.
I’ve also been more intentional about my running gear by rotating between two pairs of shoes. Letting them fully recover between runs has been better for the shoes and my body. - I continue to prioritize my skincare regime. I have always been great with taking care of my face in the morning, but I wasn’t at night. In 2025 I started washing my face every night, using my NIRA Red Light Sensor (get 10% off HERE) (I’ll be sharing a post with results SOON!) along with skincare products. In 2026 I want to keep using my NIRA (it is great for spot treatments), but I was also gifted a Omnilux Contour Face Red and Near-Infrared Light Therapy Device that I plan to use. I wanted to get better about using Retinol I purchased as well.
- I have several SMALLish blog/content creation goals: new logo for my blog, LTK class(es), post to Substack/Threads more often, post more recipes/recipe reels, do a Monday e-mail newsletter (inspired by Jill) and use my headshot photos and my Haute Stock subscription more.
- I want to spend a little time reflecting/researching/whatever you call it to figure out what I want my next path to be now that my youngest has 1.5 years left of high school. I kind of feel a shift occurring in my life and I need to figure out what I want to be doing next. I wanted to take some time this year to reflect on that.
Organizing/Decorating
- There are a couple rooms I need to finish decorating (they are SO close to being done): living room, master bathroom, miscellaneous things downstairs.
- We had carpet installed in two rooms and our stairs last year, this year I want to get it in our master bedroom (wish us luck moving our king sleep number bed!!) and Nathan’s room. Our house is a hardwood floors/carpet combination and I still really like it that way.
- Clean out/organize all the drawers/cabinets in the kitchen AND master bedroom. Including my jewelry box.
I hope you are having a great start to 2026 and I’d love to hear a goal you are excited about this year!
I’d LOVE for you to follow me on the below platforms! Let me know if you decide to follow me on any of them in the comments, because I’d love to follow you back!
