Today I'm recapping 2 shorter races🏃🏼‍♀️that I've done in the last few months. BOTH of these races happened after tornados🌪️hit... isn't that wild? The Make Tracks Through the Zoo🦓🦒🦔race that I'll be recapping first was CANCELED, because a tornado went through the St. Louis Zoo 2 days prior to the race! I mean, what are the odds of this? So, I decided to donate my registration and I ran the race on my own. Then, I’m recapping the Chesterfield Shamrock🍀10K from March. We had 4 tornados🌪️🌪️🌪️🌪️ touch down 5 miles from our house in Arnold, MO the night before the race. LOTS of destruction. Arnold still has a lot of areas that aren't fully repaired. I’m just so thankful my Spring half marathon went on without any craziness! Mother Nature is not playing nice this Spring!! I’m so saddened by the loss of 5 people from the May 16th tornado here in St. Louis. It is crazy how fast life can change. During our staycation last weekend, we stayed at t During our staycation last weekend, we stayed at the @DruryHotels St. Louis at the Arch.☀️🧳 #ad This was in a prime downtown location, with the St. Louis Arch BEHIND the hotel and Busch Stadium (Go St. Louis Cardinals!)❤️🤍 within walking distance. Our room at Drury Hotel was cozy and the perfect place to relax for our staycation. The hotel was friendly and clean with a built in parking garage that was secure and convenient. There is an indoor pool and hot tub💦 for kids, teens or adults that love to swim and relax. They have a hot breakfast🥞🥚 every morning and a 5:30 p.m. Kickback with wine, beer, cocktails and soda with warm appetizers and snacks. A warm buffet breakfast greets you in the lobby in the morning, which is included in your stay. The @STLZoo🐻 🐍 🐫 🦁 planned a fun day for us and we enjoyed the train, one of the new polar bear twins🐻‍❄️🐻‍❄️ and much more. All in all, such a fun day and beautiful weather!
