Autumn’s First Bottle

January 15, 2009 Leave a Comment

Today I pumped in the morning at 6:30 a.m. (Autumn’s last feeding was at 4:30 a.m.) while Autumn slept. I got 4.5 ounces!! Much better then the 1 oz I got yesterday when I pumped at 2:30 p.m. Ladies, thanks for the advice! So, I decided today I’d let my mom give her the first bottle.

She took to it very well, infact, she cried when Nathan grabbed it away. Yep, Nathan got a little jealous when he saw Grandma giving Autumn a bottle. So, my mom let Nathan hold the bottle too and that made him happy.

I must say that I am happy and sad over how well she took to her first bottle. Happy because I know I’d be stressing out if she had rejected it, but sad because I will go back to work and miss her very much but she will be just fine thanks to the bottle. 🙁 I am going to miss Autumn a lot once these last 4 weeks are up.
