Nathan’s egg FINALLY hatched!

April 17, 2009 Leave a Comment

My mom found this cool egg for Nathan’s Easter basket that actually hatches after you have it emersed in water for 24 hours. Nathan was excited to see what would hatch out of the egg!

My mom started the egg while I was at work so I did not get before pictures. You can see the egg has lots of cool cracks in it and its starting to split open after 24 hours of being under water.

Closeup of the cracks. Don’t ask me WHY my mom used a Santa Claus glass for our Easter egg project. lol.

Well, look who decided to join the real world – Mr. Chick!

Mr. Chick was really slimey feeling after being in the egg so long. Ewww! Anyway, Nathan got a kick out of it, so I guess that is all that matters, right?
