Personalized Towel Hook Holder with Pottery Barn Towels

I have been working on decorating our Master Bathroom since LAST year! I am not sure why it is taking me so long, but I finally finished our towel holder. I have been seeing a lot of people using hooks to hang their towels in the bathroom instead of using a standard towel bar. I couldn’t find one that I was in love with, so what did I do? I bought one at Hobby Lobby (it was on clearance for $5!) and I repainted it in the colors of our Master Bathroom! It was really easy, too… because, I used spray paint (my new best friend)!

So, why did I decide to go with towel hooks instead of a towel bar?

1. I love the look of the hooks (obviously)

2. None of the other towels are touching YOUR towel

3. The towels dry better, because they aren’t touching each other

Here is the hook hanger I found at Hobby Lobby for $5… it is way too DARK to go with the yellow, white and greys in our Master Bathroom.

Hooks-off
So, I had Brian take the hooks off of the board and I sprayed the board a flat white and the hooks the same grey I used on the initials for our monorgrammed wall art in the bathroom. It worked out perfectly!

Grey-Hook
I had intended to leave the hooks their original color, since they were wrought iron… but, they still looked TOO dark, so the grey went much nicer overall.

Here is what the finished piece looked like, I was really impressed with it. It really pops out from the yellow color on the walls in the bathroom.

I love that it matches the colors in the monogrammed canvas above it, too. It was like they were made for each other… and, well… they were 🙂

Towels-by-themselves
This is what the hooks look like with the towels on them. I splurged and purchased Pottery Barn towels and now I am not sure how I will ever order a towel from anywhere else… Pottery Barn has amazingly soft towels… ahhh.

I went with their Chevron Scuplted Bath Towel in Smoke and Marlo Jacquard Bath Towel in Grey.
