Welcome to Thursday Fashion Files!

Welcome to Thursday Fashion Files with Carrie at Curly Crafty Mom! I’m excited to have you here and would love to have you link up one of your latest outfits at the bottom of this post.

I will be taking occasional Co-Hosts for Thursday Fashion Files, if you are interested you can email me at carrie (at) curlycraftymom (dot) com to set up a date.

Hi Everyone! I’m thrilled to be back again to host Thursday Fashion Files for Carrie! For those of you who don’t know me, I’m Jill from Doused in Pink! My blog, Doused in Pink, is all about wearable style, beauty and DIY home decor. I stepped away from blogging last fall but miss it from time to time so when Carrie and I were chatting about her summer vacations, I offered to guest post for her. Carrie and I created and hosted Thursday Fashion Files together for 2 1/2 years and I can’t wait to see all of your posts! Make sure you linkup below!

If you saw my Thursday Fashion Files post a few weeks ago, you know I love a good summer dress. When I came across this starburst print cami dress, I knew it had to be mine. It’s light and airy and the fit and flare style is flattering on any body type. It comes in several cute summer prints which I’ve linked up below, but a black print or solid black dress always transitions well from day to night. So with that said, I want to show you how easy it is to style a summer sundress for day and night with just a swap of a few accessories.

For day, I kept it cool with flat sandals, fun leather earrings and aviators. This look is perfect for brunch, shopping or walking around a summer festival!

For a girls night out or date night, I swapped my flat sandals for a pair of wedge sandals, added some statement accessories and classic sunnies.

Get the look for yourself:

When I shop, I always try to add pieces to my wardrobe that are versatile. Not only does this dress transition easily from day to night, I can also see this dress in the fall with a cardigan or leather jacket and boots. Do you have a favorite dress in your closet that you take from day to night?
