Fall is almost here, and I’m so ready for all of the cozy things that come along with it! I always love putting together my fall bucket list and thinking about the little things I want to make time for before the season slips away. This year’s list has a little bit of everything, from cozy things I want to enjoy on my own to fall dates with Brian and fun things we can all do together as a family. I’m looking forward to slowing down, getting outside in the cooler weather and making the most of one of my favorite seasons! (See my Pinterest Board for Bucket Lists HERE!)
1. Try some FALL Sourdough & Sourdough Discard recipes. My running friend Sarah sent me a link to THIS and the caramelized onion and cinnamon apple recipes look DELISH.
2. Start CBS (Community Bible Study) again! I’m excited to find out who my core leader will be this year, see who’s in my small group and, of course, catch up with everyone again. This year, we’ll be studying the first 20 chapters of Genesis and all of Colossians, and I’m really looking forward to diving into both!
3. Finish Gilmore Girls with Ashley (we’re ALMOST done!) and then we plan to watch The Revival Series (Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life) on Netflix
4. Keep working toward my fall half marathon! I’m working with my running coach and focusing on my fall half marathon right now. I want to keep up with my Saturday morning running group, get in some miles at Forest Park and Queeny Park when the fall colors are showing off, and continue doing a better job of refueling with protein and carbs after my harder workouts. I’m especially looking forward to cooler running weather and seeing all of my hard work come together on race day! And once half marathon training is over, I may even try my first trail run at Cliff Cave or Al Foster!
5. Attending my 30 Year High School Reunion. I missed my 20 year after attending my 10 year, so I am looking forward to it.
6. Check out the new Aldi store by me and see what fun fall and seasonal goodies I can find! I haven’t been to Aldi in probably a decade, but Ashley has been going lately, and she’s definitely convinced me that I need to check it out… if only for the Gouda and pretzel snack boxes she keeps sending me photos of! Ha, ha!
Summer Bucket List with the Teens
1. Take a Fall Day Trip to Washington, MO! I used to work in Washington years ago, and I’d love to take Brian and the kids back for a little fall day trip! We can explore downtown, walk along the riverfront, grab some lunch and visit a few of my old stomping grounds. And we definitely need to stop at Dairy Delight for ice cream, which was one of my favorite places when I worked there! Hopefully we can time our visit with some pretty fall foliage, too.
2. S’mores + Solo Stove Night! One cool fall evening, I want to fire up the Solo Stove, make some gooey s’mores and just hang out together by the fire.
1. Celebrate our 14 year wedding anniversary with dinner at Olive + Oak
Hope you enjoyed my Fall Bucket List. Do you have any fun activities planned this Fall?
