I can’t believe how fast this 12 Months of Drinks series has flown by! And, the year prior to this I did 12 Months of Freezer Meals! As much as I love sharing recipes on the blog (and I still will from time to time), I will be doing something else for 12 Months starting in March! Next month is the LAST month for 12 Months of Drinks and then I plan to take a month off to prepare for the next 12 Months! Stay tuned for the next theme starting in April! I will announce the theme next month.
(And, P.S. Don’t forget about the Giveaway at the bottom of this post!)
This month I am sharing with you a simple non-alcoholic punch that I call Elf Punch! We still do the Elf on the Shelf at my house (for my daughter) and I thought it would be fun to come up with a refreshing drink that the elf could leave behind for the kids! But, you could also make a big pitcher of this for a party.
I got my idea for this when I was sent this huge box of candies c/o Airheads! It was stocked full of their candies. Oh my! My creative juices were just flowing! And, look at the cute cutter and rolling pin they included!
I decided to make candy elf hat stirrers! They were SO easy to make with the Airheads candies. I used their red and white candies and used a toothpick to draw my design on the candy. Then, I used a knife to cut the shape out. For the top of the hats, I used one of those wider straws from one of my water bottles. I then flattened the circle out a little more (to make it wider) with the rolling pin.
To keep the candy on the stick, I used a little piece of the Airheads candy and sealed it to the stirrer stick on the backside.
And, ta-da! You have one adorable elf hat stirrer for your drink!
Making the drink was easy and I served it in round ornament balls! This drink only has 4 ingredients: 7 Up, raspberry sherbet, lime and lemon juice.
Squeeze your juice and pour into the bottom of a blender.
Add sherbet on top.
Pour 7 Up on top of that… and, you get those delicious looking frothy bubbles! Yum! Blend really well and serve! You may need to do a couple batches in your blender since it is a lot of ingredients! Or, you can just eyeball it and make a small portion if you are just making it for your kiddos for an Elf surprise visit.
Yum! The wooden tags are from Target’s Dollar Spot. I can’t believe how many cute items they had there last month!
Full Disclosure: This is a sponsored post. Smiley360 sent me this box of Airheads candies to review. All opinions are 100% mine.
